MASAKI TAKEISHI

MASAKI TAKEISHI

Fuhrmeister Electronics was established in 1988, specializing in handling electronic devices and other products manufactured by Hitachi, and delivering them to GoldStar.
Over the years, we have grown as a strategic partner of GoldStar (now LG Group and LX Group), and have also expanded our global network and now serve as a bridge between manufacturers, while maintaining a focus on Japan and South Korea.

After the COVID-19 pandemic was contained, the semiconductor industry faced an excess supply and inventory surplus. However, starting this year, the supply-demand balance is gradually improving across various sectors, including AI, EVs, autonomous driving, and robotics.

Our company will continue to enhance our core electronic device business by strengthening our ability to propose solutions that contribute to further value creation for our business partners. Additionally, as part of our growth strategy, we will strengthen collaboration with key strategic partners and invest in expanding into new business areas within the electronic device sector.

We will further strengthen our unparalleled advantage in Japan, which lies in the depth of our connections with South Korean companies, and strive to become a leading solution provider in the Japanese and Korean electronic device industries.

We are also committed to contributing to common societal goals, such as the SDGs and carbon neutrality, as a company involved in solar power generation. We will continue to challenge ourselves as one united team to become a “one and only” presence in the industry, and we kindly ask for your continued support in our endeavors.

History of Fuhrmeister Electronics

The history of Fuhrmeister Electronics began in 1914 with the founding of FUHRMEISTER & Co. in Germany. Our presence in Japan began in 1962 with the establishment of Fuhrmeister Japan Co., Ltd., and since then, we have experienced steady growth through our strong ties with South Korea's LG Group, LX Group, and LS Group.

In the 1960s, GoldStar (now LG Group) formed a technical alliance with Hitachi to produce home appliances for the Japanese market. It was during this time that Fuhrmeister Japan Co., Ltd., established in 1962, served as a bridge between Japan and South Korea as an electronic device trading company. In 1988, the company became independent as Fuhrmeister Electronics Co., Ltd., specializing in handling electronic devices and other products manufactured by Hitachi and supplying them to GoldStar. While the electronic device business continues to be our core focus, we have expanded our operations to encompass various sectors, including panels, solar power generation, and coin laundry services.

In December 2023, Masaki Takeishi was appointed President and Representative Director of Fuhrmeister Electronics.Under the new leadership, we are committed to growing as a solution provider linking Japan and South Korea in the electronic device industry and contributing to the advancement of the electronics field.

The Key to Business Growth is Creating More "Success Scenarios"

Since becoming an independent entity in 1988, Fuhrmeister Electronics has focused on building a solid foundation as a company. This is reflected in our strong performance from the very first year, thanks to our business connections with the LG Group and Hitachi. The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 also affected Hitachi, yet even in such challenging circumstances, we were able to steadily grow our performance through collaboration with our stakeholders. We believe that our established commercial ties with the LG Group and Hitachi Group have been crucial in enabling us to continue and expand our business up to the present day.

Our growth is not only attributed to our exceptional partnerships with the above groups, but also the foundation of trust that we have built by providing speedy assistance through leveraging the technical and supply capabilities of manufacturers, in other words, providing high value-added services in order to realize customers' product production plans in the electronics sector.

While our company excels in semiconductors and other electronic device businesses, we hope to create new success stories by expanding our operations through investments and mergers and acquisitions in the electronics sector moving forward.
